Scientific Illustration / Educational Design
I created two original illustrations for Human, Wildlife & Conflict Management, a Johns Hopkins University textbook now in its second edition. My work combines scientific accuracy with visual storytelling to help readers better understand the complex relationships between humans and wildlife.
The first illustration shows an early human attacked by a sabertooth tiger, reminding us that humans were once prey to large predators. This prehistoric wildlife illustration reflects the ongoing struggle for survival, adaptation, and conflict throughout history.
The second illustration shows a bird carrying a lit cigarette butt to its nest, a technique birds use to repel parasites. This urban wildlife illustration highlights how such actions can lead to fires and influence the way humans approach building design, fire safety, and wildlife management.
